From Legacy to Innovation

The Story behind the Name

Our name holds deep personal and symbolic meaning. As a Kashmiri Pandit, my connection to Kashmir is rooted in a rich cultural heritage and history overshadowed by the tragic genocide of Pandits in the region. This horrific event forced many, including my family, to flee to nearby states and countries, leaving behind the beauty and serenity of our homeland.

For my grandparents, Kashmir was a paradise, a land of immense beauty and cultural significance, the stories they told me painted a vivid picture of a region known not only for its stunning landscapes but also as a cradle of knowledge and tradition. However, my own memories of Kashmir are marred by the violence and bloodshed that tore through our community.

Despite this painful history, I chose the name to reclaim and honour the positive aspects of my heritage. Kashmir Intelligence aims to redefine ‘Kashmir’ as synonymous with knowledge and opportunity. We are dedicated to creating advanced technology for the energy industry, a sector critical to daily life. Through our work, we aspire to shift the narrative surrounding Kashmir from one of sorrow and loss to one of innovation and promise, and it doesn’t hurt that my co-founder is a huge Led Zeppelin fan.
